Putin is exploiting the misery in the Middle East to the fullest. He wants to play the role of ’mediator’ (while Navalny is being completely isolated in the meantime).

Putin is exploiting the misery in the Middle East to the fullest. He wants to play the role of ’mediator’ (while Navalny is being completely isolated in the meantime).

The (war) attention has shifted from the Ukrainian front to the Gaza Strip, Putin thanks the Russian Orthodox God for this. He probably asked his criminal buddy Patriarch Kirill to personally pass on his thanks to God the Lord. Kirill is, after all, the replacement for God on earth, he leaves Pope Francis far behind. This is not at all strange, Kirill was a KGB agent in Soviet times. In the early 70s, he led a luxurious life in the Swiss Alps. Skiing, apres ski, good food, etc., you know the drill. In addition, Kirill called President Putin ’a miracle of God.’ But the icing on the cake was Kirill's intention to prominently hang images of Putin and Joseph Stalin in a brand new church (of course financed by the Botox president). He backed down after fierce protests, but with this ’action’ Kirill proved that his Christian (in)breast has more substance than that of Francis. If you want to hang a picture of a mass-murdering anti-Christ and another mass-murdering little man suffering from ’little people sickness’ in a church, you evidently earn a superior status. Above the Almighty Lord, of course. The current Pope cannot match that...

Who, according to Putin, is to blame for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict? Guess one time, the United States, that is beyond doubt. According to the former KGB agent (serving in the GDR), the Americans tried to ’solve the conflict on their own, but this proved to be a failure. They never looked for compromises that would be acceptable to both sides. Instead, they tried to push their own ideas’. Ah yes, again a strong piece of historical falsification by Putin, but we were already used to rhat…... Earlier this autumn, the following line appeared in Russian history books (on the basis of which secondary and high schools are standardly ’educated’) that the Hungarian uprising in October 1956 was initiated by fascists. Of course Putin gave his blessing...

Another thing Putin has given his ’blessing’ to is the arrest of the 3 lawyers (Vadim Kobzev, Igor Sergoenin and Alexei Liptser) who have so far assisted and defended Alexei Navalny. They are all suspected of having ties to ’an extremist group’. If they are found guilty, they could be sentenced to up to 12 years in prison. Navalny has already been sentenced to 30.5 years in prison in total, and that could easily be more. The chances that any lawyer will put him in a better legal position are slim, but at least Navalny saw a civilian from the outside world until recently. This possibility is now de facto denied him. Qhich Russian lawyer would want to accept his defense under these (terrorist) circumstances?

To make matters worse, Navalny will soon be transferred to a labor camp with an even stricter regime. The 47-year-old opposition leader has proven to have more than nine lives, but it is questionable how long he can withstand the psychological and physical stress. The lights in his (isolation) cella re not switched of at night, and he is required to listen to speeches by Putin that are blaring through the loudspeakers. At the new location, inmates are regularly dislocated, beaten with wooden hammers, and held underwater for minutes (known as waterboarding).

Until now, Navalny could withstand Putin's horror, but now that the (Western) world is primarily concerned with the Middle East, he sees his chance. In my opinion, Putin would prefer to see Navalny develop a fatal pneumonia in his new labor camp. ’Unfortunately, something like that can happen,’ I hear the little botox man already explain on Russian state TV. Although I expect him to literally silence Navalny...

The Western world (media) will be up in arms for a few days, but dramatic consequences for Putin and his cronies are not to be expected. Why not? By that time, we will be probably busy with a terrorist attack - with hundreds of casualties - on Kurds in Syria or Iraq, which was approved by Turkish President Erdoğan. And then? Then we'll just lay the Navalny case aside...

And the next day, we'll be chasing the next (climate) catastrophe or terrorist attack in the press and social media. Ooh and by the way, we'll need to book by now a winter sports holiday in France. In a high-altitude area, of course, because it has to be snow guaranteed! ...

It’s all about ’the unbearable lightness of being’ (Milan Kundera, 1929 – 2023)
